espite the bad weather

in Germany and Europhiles and sceptics waging war on the viability of the Euro on an almost daily basis, ISPO attendances remained fairly stable. With what has been such a tough year, this can only be a positive for the sports trade.

Reports from suppliers have been fairly mixed as to the success of the show, but those I spoke to reported of some quality accounts being opened. However, I think everyone including myself have only just got over the hangover from the potent but delicious German beer on off er!

Back on home soil, it has been an interesting month in the world of sport. It sadly seems that our national game still appears to be in the dark ages with regards to some issues. Comments made by Kenny Dalglish in criticising the ban handed out to Luis Suarez appear to be seriously misguided. There is loyalty to your players and there is sheer stupidity. Football in particular has been plagued once again by issues such as racism and hooliganism and comments by Dalglish belong in a bygone age.

Sport has the ability to infl uence change on societal issues and those at the helm should remember the impact they can have on others. Here endeth the lesson!

Please always keep an eye out for our monthly competitions and this month there is a great prize of £300’s worth of Kinetica Nutrition products to be won.
