05 Camborne & Redruth Practicalities

Getting there Both Camborne and Redruth have train stations on the main London to Penzance line, and are situated just off the A30. Portreath is close to both (roughly four miles to the north), and is on the north coast. There are regular buses to Redruth and Camborne from most major Cornish areas (buses 14 and 18 from Truro), and buses to Portreath also run from Truro, Camborne and Redruth (route T7). See www.cornwallpublictransport.info for the latest information.

This trail runs for 11 miles from the lovely coastal village of Portreath to Devoran, alongside the stunning Restronguet Creek, and is almost entirely on purpose built cycle paths or quiet country lanes. Part of the Mineral Tramways Cycle Network, the Coast to Coast Trail is flat, making it ideal for children and beginner riders. Along the route there are plenty of extra tracks with more demanding sections for those who like challenges!
