Springer is investing in an initiative unique among STM publishers – to digitize as many of our books as possible – nearly 65.000 dating to 1845. What is already the world’s largest STM eBook collection will more than double, to over 100,000 books, available on SpringerLink, and in print, by the end of 2012.
Springer’s commitment to the scholarly community is signifi cant progress toward a true virtual library, providing researchers with anywhere, anytime access to the historical record of 12 broad subject collections. MyCopy print-on- demand, a service unique to Springer, will be available for nearly the entire catalog, as will COUNTER-compliant usage statistics for library administrators.
