Housed in a historic listed building complete with a traditional black and white timbered façade, The Chester Grosvenor is no ordinary city hotel. Owned by and named after The Duke of Westminster and his family, the fi ve-star hotel has accommodated royalty and international celebrities alike for over 147 years.


A series of fi ne traditions inform the way business is conducted at the hotel, and one of the proudest constants is the Michelin star that has been accorded to the fi ne dining restaurant, Simon Radley at The Chester Grosvenor, since 1990. Recently refurbished and renamed after its long term Executive Chef, the restaurant was originally called Arkle after the steeplechaser owned by the late Anne, Duchess of Westminster. The fi ne dining restaurant is renowned throughout the county for its creative menus and extensive wine collection. The contemporary dishes are crafted exclusively from fresh, seasonal produce and perfectly complement choices from the 1,000 bin cellar. For more relaxed meals or cocktails, La Brasserie offers an elegant take on Parisian dining amidst black leather sofas and sleek granite-topped tables.


If one arrives encumbered with all the tension of an international air journey, then The Grosvenor Spa should be the fi rst stop after checking in. The menu of therapies promises to knead and soothe all manner of complaints from tired bodies. A steam room, herb sauna, ice fountain, footbath area, and salt grotto round off the list of sublime comforts.
