MANCHESTER TO CHESTER
The pretty Mid Cheshire Line connects Chester with Manchester via Northwich and Knutsford.
Alight at Northwich and explore the Weaver Hall Museum or visit the Anderton Boat Lift – the Cathedral of the Canals. At Knutsford, if you are not tempted by the shops or restaurants enjoy nearby Tatton Park or Elizabeth Gaskell’s Cranford trails. Delamere Station with its own café is right in the heart of the Forest, a haven for woodland and wildlife. Go Ape high-wire forest adventure is nearby.

CREWE TO NANTWICH
Crewe is the great northern hub of the rail network.
Find out about its history at Crewe Heritage Centre. Only 10 minutes by train from Crewe is Nantwich, a hidden treasure with stunning Tudor architecture and great places to wine and dine. Visit the Nantwich Museum and learn why Cheshire is famous for its cheese.
