ON THE FLOOR
DOUBLE TROUBLE VISION, CORSICA STUDIOS, LONDON Trouble-edged sword
Double Trouble Vision gears up for next instalment…
FOLLOWING last January’s double- headed party featuring David Rodigan on Friday and Theo Parrish, Motor City Drum Ensemble and Will Saul (to name only a few) on Saturday, this year’s Double Trouble Vision will deliver the dancefl oor goods once again to London’s Corsica Studios in the form of intergalactic techno man Martyn, rambunctious Detroit newbie Kyle Hall and resident trio Dark Sky in room one on Friday, while The Nextmen and The Heatwave bring the hip-hop and dancehall to room two.
On Saturday, those who still have the stamina can head down for round two to catch a three-hour set from deep house duo Âme and a slammin’ everything-in-
the-pot (as long as it is chunky) DJ set from Swiss turntable master Deetron, whose recent Balance 20 mix was one of the fi nest of 2011. In fact, the mix is so good, TV have decided to make this leg of the party Deetron’s ‘Balance’ release party.
But the deep house delicacies will not stop there. Delusions of Grandeur’s tasty twosome Session Victim will be joined by Quintessentials upstart Nicolas in room two, making up a line-up of the most sought-after names in house and techno right now. It doesn’t get better than this.
