BORN in Greece, but having built his reputation as a producer and DJ fi rst in London and then techno capital Berlin where he still lives, it’s fair to say that Argy has a deep appreciation of house music.


The end of last year demonstrated this with the release of his album ‘Fundamentals’ on Jerome Sydenham’s Ibadan Records, putting him on a path previously trodden by the likes of Kerri Chandler and Body & Soul man Joe Claussell.

Clearly enthralled by ‘90s house with organs and warms chord washes aplenty alongside titles such as ‘NY Anthem’ and ‘Dinner at Kerri’s’, it’s assembled with all the sophistication of someone who has honed his craft since 2005’s much celebrated debut ‘Love Dose’ EP on Poker Flat. Taking us behind the scenes, we catch up with Argy and friends around Europe as he tells us about the genesis of the album.
