STRINGS OF LIFE (SUPERNOVA REMIX) SOUL CENTRAL SUPERNOVA DEFECTED

WITH over twenty years in the house game, Spaniard DJ Chus is part of DJ and production trio The Iberican League and head of Stereo Productions. He also wrote one our favourite house tracks of all time, the sublime ‘El Amor’, alongside Joeski. With a Defected ‘House Master’ compilation on the way featuring a brand new re-edit of the track and ‘New York Underground’, a compilation of sounds from NYC coming out on his own label, we took the time to delve into his CD wallet.

Heavy on drums in line with his Latin roots, the likes of Viva boss Steve Lawler, Carl Cox and Danny Tenaglia pal Nicole Moudaber and Anil Chawla provide the head rolling groovers while Supernova’s explosive mix of Soul Central’s ‘Strings of Life’ fi lls the air punching moment. You can read a full interview with DJ Chus in the January issue of DJ Mag out now in the shops or available in print or as a PDF at djmag.com/shop
