Leeds-based IT firm DTP is set to more than double its turnover to nearly £40 million in two years and become one of the biggest IT solutions providers across Yorkshire and Humberside, according to Howard Hall, DTP’s Managing Director.

Clients include Leeds Metropolitan University and some of the UK’s leading corporate organisations such as Toyota, Air Canada, FedEx and BUPA.

“Another area where the communications network has helped to drive growth has been digital signage, large format displays and kiosks where larger corporate clients and universities have taken a more strategic approach to managing and streaming structured content across large networks of networked display devices,” commented Hall. “DTP has a strong relationship with Samsung, a brand that we are backing to grow significantly in the segments we target, especially complex digital signage and large format display networks.”


DTP has a reputation for being a HP focused partner. It has forged a strong


partnership with HP since the firm was founded nearly 25 years ago, a partnership that DTP invests in heavily to make sure it maintains one of the UK’s highest levels of HP Gold Preferred Partner accreditation across all technology areas. With the HP acquisition of 3COM, DTP has been able to complete its HP solutions offering to clients across core and edge.


Leveraging expertise Hall added: “As an Advanced Networking Specialist and with DTP’s recent appointment to HP’s new Wireless Partner Programme, DTP is leveraging its networking expertise across all of its divisions including the Managed Print


Services Division, where it is competing with and beating the traditional photo-copier manufacturers and resellers whose expertise has usually been around the devices and paper output.”

“We attribute much of our growth to an increased take- up in MPS and demand from clients to consolidate and virtualise their infrastructure services. Our services and solutions help companies save money. For example, in the area of MPS we can deliver savings of between 25-45 per cent on current spend in most cases.
