• Murray Henderson won the inaugural John MacLellan Memorial


Medal held in Edinburgh in October. Competitors had to play a tune by Captain MacLellan.The winning tune was his Edinburgh Piobaireachd. Others who played were Angus Mac- Coll, Farewell to the Queen's Ferry, Roderick MacLeod, Salute to the Great Pipe, and Iain Speirs, Lullaby for Iain.The judge was Major Gavin Stoddart. More than 100 people attended the recital and dinner held in the Royal Scots Club, Edinburgh.
