All roads lead to Munich for Powertraveller


January 2012 will once again see the sporting and outdoor goods industry converge on the ISPO Munich trade show. Like many, Powertraveller will use this opportunity to showcase a range of new products.

very year, around 2,000 international exhibitors attend the global trade show in Munich to present their latest product innovations to


over 60,000 visitors from over 100 countries. For over 40 years ISPO has provided a comprehensive preview of the latest sporting and outdoor goods, athletic footwear and the latest trends likely to take off in 2012. For exhibitors like Powertraveller, it presents an ideal opportunity to preview their latest products and generate crucial revenue. "Trade shows represent a significant proportion of our overall marketing budget but prove themselves to be a worthy investment year after year" says Powertraveller Brand Manager Jane Harsham. "This year we invested around £20,000 per show but revenue from accounts opened and accounts developed amounted to $250,000." For small to medium sized brands, Trade Shows, especially ISPO, are seen as valuable marketing tools to generate new business and Powertraveller is a keen advocate. “With a sales team of four covering the UK, Europe, USA, Far East, Australasia and the USA, ISPO offers a very cost effective way of meeting with our important customers on a regular basis” says Jerry Ranger, CEO of Powertraveller.

The latest products being showcased at ISPO are no

The Powertraveller flagship product at ISPO will be the powermonkey extreme . Awarded the Outdoor Award in Friedrichschafen, the product will take pride of place on their stand. Designed for the outdoor enthusiast, with an IP67 rating (waterproof for 30 minutes up to 1 metre), the powermonkeyextreme is capable of recharging most

activates the incorporated state-of-the-art maximum power point tracker technology, allowing the solar panel to charge the unit more efficiently in low light conditions. With renewable energy sources becoming more and more important to society, it is hoped this feature will prove to be a big hit at ISPO.


5V devices, including an iPhone up to 6 times, and standard mobiles up to 12 times. It also has a dedicated outport for the iPad and other tablets.
