Light-Weight, Fast, Stable & Durable Kayaks, Surf Skis and Paddles.

S18R - New for 2012 The Stellar 18’ Race (S18R) was born from a

simple desire to go fast. With a fair hull, longer waterline and narrower beam than the S18, the S18R is a racing machine, yet still has ample dry storage. As with the rest of the kayaks at Stellar, they are an uncommon blend of stability and speed, which are the hallmark of our brand.

Not one to be overlooked, Eliot Lamb’s

response to whether he prefers to kayak or raft was simply, “Canoe.”

IMAGE IS EVERYTHING Te last issue of Adventure Kayak (www. adventurekayakmag.com/0023) was our much-anticipated Photo Annual, filled with images that inspire. On our Facebook wall, Marco Monge posted,

emailed us the photo below of his kids out for a day’s paddle and wrote, “I really like your articles in Canoeroots about camping and paddling with kids.”

“Love this

mag, makes me dream, makes me get out and try one more time.” When we asked for your favorite images in the gallery, modest contributor David Johnston responded, “I’m going to vote for mine!” Ryan Hines was apparently less inspired.

“Te water in the upper photo on page 40 appears a little too blue to be real,” he wrote in an email. “I would like to point this out in hopes that you will publish, when pos- sible, only un-doctored and unedited imag- es.” Apparently the fact that we “doctored” our editors-at-large in the photo (above) to appear 50 feet tall didn’t faze Hines. He was a good sport when we pointed this out to him. “I am glad to see that I might need some glasses,” he conceded. “Te miniature village makes things all make sense.”

FAMILY CHANNELS Canoeroots & Family Camping readers are right at home with family on the water and we love hearing about it! Our Canoeroots Facebook page is full of updates from folks fresh off the water. Nels Edwin Arvidson shared, “I went out with my son and grand- son a few days ago, and my other son and daughter-in-law and two granddaughters last month. Heading out again to be with
