What’s included in the package price? A day at Discovery Cove® is an exclusive, reservations-only experience, with admission limited to around 1000 guests per day. Parking is complimentary and all equipment is provided, as well as a hot breakfast, sumptuous buffet lunch, soft drinks and beer (for those over 21) and snacks throughout the day. All you will need to bring is a swimming costume.
Do I need to be an experienced swimmer for Discovery Cove®?
No, life jackets are provided and you don’t have to go out of your depth.
Discovery Cove Is it suitable for all ages?
Yes, although children must be at least 6 years to swim with the dolphins.
How long does the dolphin swimming experience last? The dolphin experience consists of a 15-min introduction with the trainers and a 30-min group session with the dolphins. This will be followed by an optional 30-min debrief for any questions.
Can disabled guests participate?
Guests with limited mobility are able to participate in the dolphin swim experience provided they have a personal assistant to help them in/out of the water. Specially adapted wheelchairs are available to pre-book.

Discovery Cove’s Trainer for a Day Package is the ultimate dolphin lovers’ experience, this full day out includes:
● Signature 30-min dolphin session
● Enhanced deep-water dolphin interaction with only 8 guests in an entire lagoon ●
● Private, individual photo session with 2 dolphins
● Behind-the-scenes tour of dolphin back areas, animal food preparation and record review ● Spending the day with a trainer to ask questions and learn what it’s like to work with animals ● Snorkelling with thousands of tropical fish in the Grand Reef ● Wading with the rays in Stingray Shallows ● Hand-feeding birds in the Explorer’s Aviary

The program is limited to only 24 guests per day, so make sure you book early. Please note: Guests under 13 years must be accompanied by a paid ‘Trainer for a Day’ adult.

All tickets provide unlimited admission for 14 consecutive days from first use, with the exception of Discovery Cove which is a one day experience. Guests must be at least 6 years of age to swim with the dolphins at Discovery Cove. Guests aged 6-12 must be accompanied by a paying adult who is also participating in the dolphin swim experience. Discovery Cove guests aged 3-5 must purchase the non-swim package. Participants in the Trainer for a Day Program must be in good physical condition and at least 6 years old. All participants under the age of 13 must be accompanied by a paying Trainer for a Day adult. Free bus transportation is available to Busch Gardens on the Busch Gardens Shuttle Express with all Busch Gardens inclusive tickets.
