eading swimwear brand Zoggs, partner of the Aspire Channel

Swim, are encouraging staff at its Lightwater HQ, to take the plunge and help to raise funds for the charity dedicated to supporting people with spinal cord injury.

Swimming the 22 miles of the English Channel is something most people just dream about, but Aspire makes it happen by inspiring thousands of people each year to take part in a unique challenge to swim the full distance over a period of 12 weeks (September to December 2011) in their local pool. Now in its 13th year, the Swim has raised

a massive £3 million for Aspire and this year, with the support of Zoggs, it is hoped even more will be raised.

Speaking at the launch of the challenge, David Annand, UK Marketing Manager at Zoggs said: “We are extremely proud to be partnering the Aspire Channel Swim in 2011 and encourage everyone – whatever

their age or ability – to take part in this great opportunity and raise much needed funds for those living with spinal injuries.” Zoggs have also been busy with the launch of Zoggs Oceans of Fun Days which began on the 13 August 2011 and runs into 2012. The brand has teamed up with Total Swimming, set up by Olympian Steve Parry, to run a series of events across the country providing up to 400 free spaces (at each event) for children aged 7 to 14 years old to experience four different Olympic aquatic sports from diving and synchro to fast swimming and water polo. Supported

by top British athletes from each Olympic discipline, the fi rst two events have been seen as successful with unprecedented turnouts across the age range.
