TAMSIN HAYWARD Commercial Lawyer, Keystone Law


Tamsin Hayward is a business focused commercial lawyer with extensive in-house experience, including as counsel for a Virgin Group start-up and General Electric. She has an MBA with distinction from CASS Business School. Her industry focus is aviation, transportation and manufacturing. She is particularly experienced in managing transactions in emerging markets. Tamsin’s areas of aviation expertise include engine sale, lease, exchange and maintenance agreements (including power by the hour contracts) and component repair agreements; aircraft wet and dry leasing; and operational (pilot and crew training), ground and logistics.


JOHN HUNTER Executive Vice President - Operations of HEICO Aerospace


John has been with HEICO for over 11 years. Prior to his time with HEICO, John had 10 years of Operations experience with Chromalloy Gas Turbine and has a total of 27 years in the Aerospace Industry. Over the years, John has worked closely with various regulatory agencies- ACO’s, MIDO’s and FSDO’s. He is an active member of a number of industry organizations such as MARPA, ARSA, AIA & ATA. He participated in the ARSA Joint Industry Committee on Instructions for Continued Airworthiness and since early 2005, John has been Chairman of the MARPA Committee on COS, a committee formed in response to the FAA’s request for assistance on Regulatory Guidance regarding PMA Continued Operational Safety. He also serves as Chairman of the MARPA Board of Directors. John holds a BSME and an MBA from Syracuse University.


DAVID HYGATE Director, TeamSAI


An aerospace consultant with 40 years experience of the industry, gained mostly with Rolls-Royce, David has worked on Forecasting, Strategy and Analysis of the commercial market, relationship building and Sales and Marketing in the MRO business. He has lived and worked in the UK, France, USA and Japan working for Joint Ventures such as International Aero Engines and TAESL. An in-depth understanding of the civil aero-engine business is supplemented with extensive contacts in Aircraft Manufacturers, Financial Institutions, Airlines and Parts Traders. He has a broad and deep understanding of the commercial aerospace/aviation businesses, particularly engine MRO, and is currently assisting TeamSAI develop their business in Europe. He also provides advice to investment banks, private equity firms, hedge funds and other financial institutions interested in aerospace and aviation and speaks frequently at industry conferences.


DAVID KVASNICKA President, Aviation Component Solutions (ACS)


Dave Kvasnicka has led Aviation Component Solutions, first as General Manager and then as President, since May 2002. Prior to joining ACS, he was the Director of Customer Services for Argo-Tech Corporation, responsible for aftermarket sales and the support of the company’s commercial products. Prior to joining Argo-Tech, Dave spent several years with Parker Hannifin Corporation in a variety of positions in their aerospace business and on corporate staff.


DAVID LINEBAUGH Delta Airlines


25+ years in aerospace/aviation, primarily with propulsion systems and mechanical components and systems. Experience on both the manufacturer’s side as well as the operator’s side. Interfacing with multiple groups, resolving technical issues, active in industry, conducting presentations, mentoring new engineers. Specialties Currently responsible for the overall engineering approval process for all aircraft and engine PMA (“aftermarket”) parts at Delta Air Lines.


DARREN LOVATO DER Technologies, Inc


As a consultant FAA DER, he prepares and/or approves PMA submittal packages for numerous large and small PMA companies and represent them in their dealings with various FAA ACO and MIDO offices. He also provides PMA technical and regulatory training to both airlines and PMA company staff. He has presented at the annual Gorham Technologies PMA-DER Conference several times and will be speaking at their upcoming conference in March (in San Diego, CA) on the topic of Manufacturer’s Service Documents and PMAs. He was also requested by Jason Dickstein to present at this year’s MARPA conference and will be speaking on PMAs for parts that are installed on TSOA articles and some of the regulatory and commercial issues involved. He is a member of MARPA’s PMA Continued Operational Safety (COS) committee and was one of the authors of the MARPA COS guidance material (Report No. MA-07-0316). He has been an aviation maintenance engineer for 24 years and has been working extensively with PMAs for the last 17 years.
