BERNIE BALDWIN Editor, Low-Fare & Regional Airlines


Bernie Baldwin has been in aviation publishing for more than 23 years, starting as production editor of The Aeronautical Journal at the Royal Aeronautical Society in January 1988. By October 1993 he was head of the Society’s publications department and editor of its flagship publication, Aerospace. On leaving the RAeS, Bernie became editor of Airlines International, published by Insight Media on behalf of IATA. At Insight Media, he also worked as associate editor of ACI’s Airport World. After two years with Insight, he became editor of Regional Airline World in May 2000. In 2007, he led the magazine into its latest iteration as Low-Fare & Regional Airlines.


ROB CHURCH Director, Sales & Marketing


Rob Church is Director, Sales & Marketing, for BELAC LLC. He is responsible for commercial and military sales and new business development for BELAC. Previously he was Chromalloy Regional Sales Director, The Americas, providing leadership for the company’s sales and marketing efforts throughout the Americas. He joined the company in 1989 as Director of Sales, responsible for business development and working with customers worldwide. Prior to joining Chromalloy, he was General Manager at TVF, Inc., a specialty manufacturing, sales and distribution company in Honolulu, Hawaii. He earlier managed development at Dallah Avco in Saudi Arabia, overseeing logistical support for airports and air bases across Saudi Arabia. He began his career as a U.S. Naval Officer. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in management engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and an M.B.A. from the University of Hawaii.


JASON DICKSTEIN President of the Modification and Replacement Parts Association (MARPA)


Dickstein has served on the Board of Directors of the PMA trade association, MARPA, since its inception in the 1990s and has served as its President since 2007. As a lawyer in the Washington, D.C. area, Dickstein has counseled aircraft parts distributors, repair stations, air carriers, and aircraft parts manufacturers on compliance and enforcement issues, and he has advised many of the aviation industry’s trade associations. Dickstein works with regulators to help establish safe and sane policies and he has served on rulemaking committees in both the United States and Europe.


JOY FINNEGAN Editor-in-chief Aviation Maintenance Magazine – PMA Summit Conference Chair


Joy has been involved in the aviation industry since she was 15, when she decided that she wanted to learn to fly. She attended Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and upon graduation pursued a career as a professional pilot, starting as a flight instructor, moving into charter, then commuter airlines, and eventually to a regional airline. She also worked as a contract administrator for two aircraft manufacturers, Cessna and Galaxy/Gulfstream. She took charge as editor-in-chief of Aviation Maintenance magazine in November 2006, after serving as its managing editor. In 2009, she became editor-in-chief of Rotor & Wing magazine, which covers all aspects of the rotorcraft market.


MICHAEL GADD Manager, Continued Airworthiness – UK Civil Aviation Authority


Mike has over 30 years experience in the aviation industry, within industry, the UK CAA and the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) in the design and certification fields. This covers a wide range of aircraft projects – including the AVRO Vulcan, BAe 146/RJ, Airbus A320 series and the Boeing 787. Currently managing the coordination of continued airworthiness activities in CAA after returning from a period with EASA where he held the post of large aircraft project certification manager.


JOHN GOGLIA Independent Air Safety Consultant and Former NTSB board member


John Goglia served as a member of the U.S. National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB). With more than 30 years experience in the aviation industry, he was the first NTSB Board Member to hold an FAA aircraft mechanic’s certificate. As a Board Member, Goglia distinguished himself in numerous areas of transportation safety. He played a key role in focusing international attention on the increasing significance of aircraft maintenance in aviation accidents. Also as an NTSB Board Member, Goglia participated in numerous air, rail and bus accident investigations. He chaired the Board’s public hearings on the ValuJet crash into the Florida Everglades. Prior to becoming a Board Member, Goglia held numerous positions in the airline industry and was involved for more than 20 years as a union flight safety representative on accident investigation teams. For 12 years, he operated his own aircraft service company.
