Thanks Join our testing panel
If you feel that you would like to be part of a panel responsible for selecting the best quality resources for early years and key stages 1 and 2 settings, then look no further. We are now recruiting for testers for the 2012 Practical Pre-School and Primary Teacher Update Awards.
For 2012, the Awards will for the fi rst time be run in association with our new publication ‘Primary Teacher Update’, meaning that we will broaden the net further to include products aimed at key stage 2 children as well.
This year, as part of the judging process for the Practical Pre-School and 5 to 7 Awards, nearly 500 individual tests were completed in a number of nursery, playgroup, pre-school, key stage 1 classes and childminding settings throughout the country.
So what does the testing process entail? After receiving an entered product, you will have three weeks to test it in your setting. Then you will be asked to immediately return your test report on a supplied form. The test reports are clear, with marks awarded for pre-determined criteria and a section for additional comments.
In most cases, entry samples can be kept by each member of the testing panel as a thank you for your hard work, however in some instances – or for very expensive items – these may have to be returned. If this is the
A big thank you to all those who tested the products for our 2011 awards. We hope you enjoyed it! If you would like to be a tester, see above, and ensure that you contact us before 31 December 2011.
