Carrying on the musical legacy of her grandparents – whose story inspired the beloved film The Sound of Music – vocalist and guitarist Elisabeth von Trapp and her husband Ed will join Tauck Bridges guests aboard ms Swiss Jewel for the August 4, 2012 departure of Blue Danube: Family Riverboat Adventure.

incredible adventure when we joined Tauck Bridges’ family riverboat cruise down the Danube to the cities of Budapest, Vienna and Salzburg. Two of my favorite Tauck moments: waking up on the riverboat in the early morning, with castles, villages and vineyards slipping past as we glided down the Danube... and stepping into the film setting of my family’s home, the Palace Leopoldskron, where I sang for our Tauck guests just as my father and his siblings would have done to entertain their guests in Salzburg... that was magical.
