Marc and Josef Seibel

commence cooperation in international sales

MARC shoes based in Fischbeck, Germany and the shoe company JOSEF SEIBEL are to begin a cooperation of their international sales forces. From the commencement of the spring/summer 2012 season, the sales agencies of the JOSEF SEIBEL group in the USA, Canada, France, Belgium, Luxemburg, Spain and the UK will sell Marc shoes in addition to the JOSEF SEIBEL group ranges. Marc Shoes owner, Wilhelm Möhlmann, comments “With this step we can

enhance our sales penetration in a number of key world markets. We are very pleased to have found JOSEF SEIBEL as a successful and dedicated partner”. The cooperation is officially valid from June 15th 2011. With this sales cooperation, the shoe company from Fischbeck sets the

foundation for company growth and the international development of the MARC brand. In addition Carl-August Seibel, owner of the JOSEF SEIBEL group, identified major advantages for his company as a result of the cooperation with Marc. “With Marc we attain a competent and powerful partner which enriches our existing and successful brand portfolio through technical know-how and creativity”.

Chatham Marine will launch its spring/summer 2012 footwear, and re- launch its entire clothing line at MODAStand Y7. The collection includes a new G2 clothing range, leveraging the success of Chatham’s G2 footwear, which features a unique two year guarantee.

The G2 clothing range offers great quality, technical garments that are

waterproof, windproof, UV resistant and feature thermal control elements. The key fabric used in the majority of the G2 men’s and women’s clothing is bamboo. Known for its natural properties, bamboo is strong, durable and sustainable, and feels luxurious and comfortable next to the skin.

The Chatham Original range for women, and the Sport collection for

both men and women, offers casual and relaxed clothing, from polo shirts to jackets, across a variety of price points. Working with the nautical colour palette of red, white and navy, Chatham has added flashes of the hottest SS2012 colour, cobalt blue, as well as bright yellow, dark and French navy and pastel tones for women. Other design features include colour blocking, rope ties, stripes and eyelets, all of which reflect the nautical brand heritage of Chatham.

Philip Marsh, Managing Director at Chatham, says, “We are really excited about the launch of the G2 clothing collection. The two year guarantee on our G2 range shows we really care about the quality of our products, reflecting the confidence we have in them, and offers a real usp for the retailer. We have worked with a new design team to evolve our three ranges and have invested heavily in our clothing development.

“Our G2 deck shoe styles, Sloop and Schooner, were big sellers this year,

really flying off the shelves, and for next summer we have extended the range to include sandals. For the retailer, it’s an opportunity for even greater growth in our key summer business.”
