Faculty Chats Engage Alumni Worldwide
Launched in March, Faculty Forum Online broadcasts brought top MIT thinkers to alumni worldwide via video chats. T e live half-hour programs allowed alumni to pose questions to a prominent MIT faculty member on a timely topic.
T e fi rst discussion focused on collective bargaining with Sloan School Professor T omas A. Kochan. Professor Richard Lester PhD ’80, head of MIT’s Depart- ment of Nuclear Science and Engineering, fi elded questions about nuclear energy in April. T ese webcasts are an extension of the Association’s Faculty Forum program, which seeks to engage alumni and friends with the Institute’s intellectual life through local presentations by MIT faculty.
