• Thomas Cook has expanded its 2011/12 European winter sun programme with the addition on the Bahia Principe in Tenerife, and Gloria Palace and IFA Faro Hotel both in Gran Canaria. Cape Verde features as a new destination.
• Cosmos and fl ight-only arm Avro have moved to fi ll the void caused by the collapse of Turkey specialist Holidays4U by hiking capacity to Dalaman. Additioanl fl ights will be dded from both Gatwick and Manchester in September and October, including the school half-term from October 23.
• Cape Verde features prominently in Thomson’s 2011/12 winter programme, with six fl ights a week to Boa Vista and four a week to Sal.
• A new hop-on, hop-off sightseeing bus offering audio tours of Santa Cruz, the capital of Tenerife, is now available.
