U.S. Men end World League
by edging Cuba The U.S. Men’s National Vol-
leyball Team ended the 2011 FIVB World League campaign on a high note with a five-set victory over Cuba, but failed to advance into the tournament’s semifinal. The Americans finished with a 1-2 pool record in the Final Round and a 9-6 overall record during the compe- tition. The numbers were good enough for a tie for fifth-place in one of the year’s most prestigous events. The U.S. Men have turned their attention to the NORCECA Men’s Continental Championship on Aug. 29-Sept. 3 in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico. Click here, usavol-

BIG RIP: U.S. Men’s National Team outside hitter Matt Anderson led all scorers with 29 points in the team’s final World League match.
