Racing Legends Ferrari World Abu Dhabi

aspects of motor racing and the heritage of one of the world’s great marques. Speed of Magic is FWAD's 4D dark ride experience. A Spider-Man-style multimedia experience, the ride follows a young boy as he travels into the jungle, through ice caves, volcanoes and the ocean – in search of a cartoon racing driver called 'Nello (short for Ferrari's hometown of Maranello). Changes in temperature, light and sound effects, all add to the adventure.

Legends and Made in Maranello – each use a ride system by Mack, featuring eight-seater cars with new grandstand seating, together with theming and sets by P&P Projects. he first theme park attraction anywhere in the world inspired by DreamWorks’ animated Madagascar film series, Madagascar: A Crate Adventure opened this May at Universal Studios Singapore within Resorts World Sentosa.

Ariel’s story unfolds in colourful scenes filled with audio-animatronic characters and memorable music. Guests can sing along with Sebastian and friends, keep an eye out for the
evil Ursula, and

Zebra, Melman the Giraffe and Gloria the Hippo. The animals, which have apparently escaped from New York Zoo, join forces with the King Julien to help defeat the dreaded Foosa at the rim of a bubbling volcanic cauldron. Along the way, they encounter a giant alligator, wild-eyed spiders and more. “Madagascar: A Crate Adventure is the primary attraction within the first-ever theme park zone dedicated exclusively to our Madagascar movie series,” notes Jeffrey Katzenberg, CEO of DreamWorks Animation. “We are excited about the way in which it allows people to interact with DreamWorks Animation’s unique characters and worlds in a memorable family experience.”
“It is an exhilarating ride with fantastic sets and a terrific storyline,” adds Resorts World Sentosa CEO Tan Hee Teck. “This attraction can be enjoyed by the whole family, from grandma to little tot” – just like all good dark ride should.

Made in Maranello, meanwhile, takes riders on a VIP tour through the Ferrari factory to see how one of the world's most prestigious cars is made. “We were given an almost empty building in which we had to construct a lot of walls and make a lot of film screen surfaces,” recalls P&P’s Philipp van Stratum. “Working together with our fit-out partners Gielissen in Eindhoven, a major trade fair and exhibition firm, we built the show sets and items including replica cars and various mechanical effects including conveyor belts with actual Ferrari 599 bodies. For Racing Legends we had the honour of building two full-scale F1 cars. Although the audience might not be aware of it, we put in as many details as we could because it was plain fun to build!”

attractions that have debuted the past few years in Disney California Adventure, Walt Disney Imagineers head into the home stretch of the five-year expansion that started with another dark ride experience, Toy Story Mania! in 2008.
A similar attraction is planned as part of the Fantasyland expansion next year at the Magic Kingdom, Walt Disney World, Florida.

Madagascar: A Crate Adventure is one of six attractions at the Singapore park based around DreamWorks Animation films. The ride system was provided by Hafema, and subsequently reengineered by a third party following a series of setbacks. Animated figures in the attraction were provided by Garner Holt Productions, while Brett Young from Super 78 in California provided creative input, following earlier work on the park’s Donkey Live! Interactive live show.
