Head of Operations Salary: Negotiable + benefits/Permanent Position/Based in Hull


The successful candidate will report directly to the new Managing Director, deputising for them and heading up a small operations department including a team of 26 drivers. Overall responsibility sits here for making sure our train service operates safely everyday, our trains run on time and the necessary rules and regulations are adhered to. Our new Head of Operations will need to be ambitious and looking for a challenge in a broad role covering all aspects of operations management including performance and planning, resources management and developing effective relationships with Network Rail and other major suppliers. They will be a natural leader, who inspires, motivates and can deliver on stretching targets; individually and through others. Ultimately, they will need to enjoy a demanding, versatile role as a key contributor in the overall, exceptional customer experience we strive for.


It will be essential to have operations management experience within the rail industry, experience of successfully managing a team of drivers and delivering ‘real time’ rail performance.

Health, Safety & Environmental Manager Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 + benefits/Permanent Position/Based in Hull


The successful candidate will report directly to the Managing Director and will provide strategic direction in relation to all health and safety responsibilities and make a real difference day to day for colleagues and passengers alike. The role is versatile and requires flexibility with tasks ranging from validations and risk assessment, through to defining and driving company policy, ensuring compliance with rules, regulations and legislation, and champions our Safety Management System to embed a safe way of working into everything we do.


As we are a small team, creating broad and multi-faceted responsibilities, the candidate will need to be able to inspire and motivate people, creating an environment of excitement about health and safety, show passion and want others to engage and encourage reward for safe behaviour. They will also require confidence and the ability to positively enforce change.


NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent NVQ Level 4 qualification required. Potential high hazard industry experience essential, rail industry experience desirable.
