It’s been a fascinating month or two for anyone with an interest in how the content for those newspaper-selling ‘world
exclusive’ stories is generated. Here at SSBH we wouldn’t know how to begin
to hack into a mobile phone – maintaining our Twitter and Facebook presence on a daily basis is challenging enough – and we doubt our freelance writers went beyond tried and tested methods like research, interviews and the occasional press trip to bring you this issue’s line up of features that includes Malta, Murcia and UK Theme Parks. I can vouch for the fact that all of the content
for my own 48 Hours in Warsaw piece came from something as old-fashioned as jumping on a British Airways fl ight and spending two days walking around one of Europe’s less fashionable – for now – short break cities.
The New Website That’s not to say we are averse to embracing new methodology and new technology. In fact, by the time you read this our freshly-designed website will be up and running. Simple and easy to navigate, it brings together
bite-sized tips, advice and inspiration on how to sell more holidays, short breaks and cruises. The content is largely drawn from our stable of magazines and turns the attention on key selling tips from industry experts.
