LCC Support Services has promoted Rachel Hodgson to sales director. Hodgson, who joined LCC in 2009, has over six years experience of the cleaning industry and is heading up the sales team focusing on developing LCC’s commercial portfolio.
Bob Vincent, executive chairman of LCC, said: “Rachel has all the ingredients to grow our national and corporate business profile. She has experience, enthusiasm and is a great team leader.”
Sodexo has appointed Phil Andrew to the role of chief financial officer for its UK & Ireland business. Andrew was most recently employed as managing director for Sodexo Justice Services, Sodexo’s prison business in the UK. He replaces Rachel Osborne and took up his new position on 13 June. He is responsible for leading the negotiation of complex con- tracts and will have a signifi- cant role to play in business and corporate development. Alongside Aidan Connolly, chief executive officer, he will seek further growth opportu- nities for the company.
Mandie Kemp, managing director of Futures Supplies & Support Services Ltd, has been appointed the new chair of the Croydon Chamber of Commerce. With over 25 years experi- ence in the washroom and janitorial industry, Kemp set up Futures Supplies in 1995 and her combined knowl- edge and experience in the business arena saw her awarded Surrey Business Person of the Year in 2006. Working closely with the Croydon Chamber for a number of years, Kemp is a prominent figure in the local business community bringing a great deal of experience, knowledge and business acumen to support, grow and develop the Chamber and its membership in her position as chair. She said:

The Worshipful Company of Environmental Cleaners is celebrating its 25th anniversary of the Company achieving full Livery status with a summer charity ball on the evening of Saturday 9 July. Friends and colleagues from the cleaning industry are invited to the fundraising event, which takes place at the Grange St Paul’s hotel, London. It opens with a champagne reception from 6.30pm, followed by a four course meal and entertainment, including a live band and an auction hosted by a celebrity auctioneer.
During the 25th anniversary year, the Worshipful Company hopes to raise at least an extra £25,000 for its charity fund which makes grants to support the advancement of education and training within the industry. There are opportunities to advertise in the programme for the evening as well as sponsorship of individual elements.

Scot Young Research has made a new appointment to head up its window cleaning division.
Asha Sahota has taken up the torch first lit by the company’s founder more than 50 years ago - Scot Young led the revolution in window cleaning in this country when he introduced the squeegee.
Andrew, a key member of Sodexo's executive team, will report to Aidan Connolly and will also have an additional function reporting line to Sian Herbert-Jones, chief financial officer for Sodexo Group. He has been with Sodexo since January 2007, during which time he has fulfilled the roles of finance director for Kalyx (now Sodexo Justice Services), finance director for Sodexo’s Global Procter & Gamble account and chief operating officer for Kalyx. He said: “I am very excited to be taking up this new post. I am confident that my experience will enable me to provide the company with a
