Japan‘s National Institute of Technology and Evaluation (NITE) announced in June 2011 that it has added 370 chemical substances to its GHS classification list following a project conducted in 2009 by the Ministries of Health, Labor, and Welfare (MHLW) and the Environment (MoE). The list now contains 2,231 substances.
