YOUR PLANNER it’s all in the details...
If your budget allows, having a wedding planner certainly reduces the most stressful parts of planning for one of the most important days of your life. Planning a wedding is extremely time consuming, as there are a myriad of details and logistics to handle. A couple will certainly have to depend on fiends and/or family to perform certain tasks throughout the wedding process unless they are handled with a planner.
A wedding planner will serve many functions. They will not only assist with the details of your wedding, and negotiate the best deals with vendors, but they can also be a wonderful bridge between parents’ wishes and the couple’s vision of their special day. The size of your wedding is also a consideration. When you are inviting over 150 people, a planner is a good idea. They will be there to make sure when, not if, something needs attention. A wedding consultant will simply take the stress out of all the moving parts and off your plate. You can drive the décor and the flow of your day, but your planner will be there to execute the smallest of details.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Couples oſten assume that planners are only for weddings with lavish budgets, but certainly in our area there are many wonderful planners who can customize their packages to fit your needs and budget. Most wedding planners will charge a flat fee for wedding services. For comprehensive planning you should expect to pay between 10% and 15% of your total event expenses to an experienced wedding management company. For a wedding planner’s day of services the cost in our area is typically between $1,000 and $2,500.
If you are interviewing a planner, be sure that you personally “click” fom the very beginning. You will be spending a lot of time together making important decisions so it needs to be a good fit. Again your wedding reception venue managers can be a good resource for recommending the best planners. Finding a planner that works comfortably with your venue is a key element to a successful partnership. When shopping for a planner, be sure to also carefully compare what each offers for their fee.

Ask to see a sample budget, time line and other resources that they use for planning? If their paper work appears organized it is a good sign!
How many planners will be at your event?
Will they be there from the arrival of the first vendor to final guest departure?
Will the planner and/or the planning company be managing more than your wedding on your wedding day?
