GenQuip Strengthen Their Services

in Scotland GenQuip/Groundhog, the leading South Wales suppliers of environmentally focussed site welfare facilities, has appointed Falkirk based, MTH Autoservices Limited as their authorised partner in Scotland.

GenQuip will officially announce the partnership with MTH at the forthcoming APSE Scottish Fleet, Waste & Grounds Services Seminar and Exhibition, held during May 2011.

Established in 1969, MTH Autoservices will provide users, owners and operators of GenQuip/Groundhog welfare units with a comprehensive repair, maintenance, sales and spare parts facility throughout the region. MTH have made available their, especially livered, twelve field service vehicles for on-site work and a fully equipped workshop for total support. “We recognised that in order to strengthen our support to our clients north of the border, we needed a dedicated partner”, said Peter Beach, GenQuip’s business development manager. “We were very impressed with the knowledge and experience of MTH in all things automotive and we are entirely confident that this partnership will enhance the growing reputation that Groundhog have throughout the area,” added Peter.

During the seminar GenQuip and MTH Autoservices will be showcasing an example from their wide range of mobile welfare units. The Groundhog GP360D display unit has been carefully prepared to demonstrate how contract managers can provide advanced welfare facilities for their outside workers. MTH personnel will be on hand to explain to local contractors how their services will ensure that a full back up programme will be available from their Falkirk base. The GenQuip/Groundhog series of welfare units are compact and either towable, drivable, or static whilst guaranteeing compliance with all current health and safety site welfare legislation combined into one package. The units are Network Rail approved and equipped for accommodating site workers in a pleasant and safe working environment, with a seating area, microwave and hot water for washing. A fresh drinking water container, wall mounted heater and a flushing toilet is also included. GenQuip/Groundhog mobile units are designed for one person installation and can be manoeuvred, secured, and made ready in less than three minutes. A range of extras is available including a rainwater harvester, sliding doors and an auxiliary power pack for continuous electricity.

Versatile Tig Welders For All Applications

Designed for a wide range of TIG welding applications, the Murex Tradestig AC220 and AC220a compact welding units are designed for use by the craftsman welder. These Tradestigs are extremely robust with an impact resistant polymer casing, making them ideal for use in the toughest industrial environments including the farming/ heating and ventilation/ metal fabrication/and oil and gas sectors. They are light and easy to carry and with IP23 protection can be used both outside and indoors. The Tradestigs are designed for quality TIG welding with all types of material of thicknesses up to five millimetres. They feature QWave™ technology for high arc stability and low noise levels in AC mode. True MMA welding characteristics are provided in both AC and DC modes including hot start, arc force and polarity switch (DC). A two program function allows pre-programming and program change during welding operations. An electrode preheating facility ensures excellent weld starts and extended electrode life. With the Tradestig AC220, the user simply needs to set the plate thickness on the control panel and the machine will do the rest. Users can still, however, control the welding current, slope down and post-gas manually. The AC220A control panel has several advanced functions including Pulse TIG, AC balance, to control arc cleaning and penetration and AC frequency to control arc width.
