Exhibitors are carrying out their final preparations for CeMAT 2011 in Hannover. In this article, we look at a few more of the exhibitors hoping to catch the eye of visitors to the event.
he doors to the Hannover Messe exhibition halls swing open on May 2nd, and close on the 6th. Following on from last month’s preview to
CeMAT 2011, here is another selection of the likely highlights.
CeMAT is the ideal showcase for the range of new products from storage specialist BITO-Lagertechnik Bittmann GmbH (hall 13, stand A16). Its innovative product range features an entirely new series of heavy duty yet lightweight polypropylene containers. With its PROmotion system, BITO has designed an ingenious enhancement to further increase the efficiency of its static pallet racking system PRO. The PROmotion shuttle (pictured below) is a battery operated and remote- controlled lane vehicle to facilitate
pallet handling and transport within a pallet racking installation. Moving unassisted on specially designed guide rails without connection to another carrier vehicle, the shuttle provides continuous in- and outfeeding and assumes stock control functions. British forklift manufacturer Nexen (hall 25, stand C28) will be showing its exciting new X- Range models in Hannover. This innovative range, which combines diesel and LPG engine versions in popular load capacities up to 5,000kg, incorporates a host of design benefits and features which stand it out from the crowd. These features combine time and cost saving along with enhanced safety and operator comfort – the Nexen X range truly does offer a configuration to suit any application as well as value for money.
GNB Industrial Power (hall
26, stand D24), a division of Exide Technologies, will exhibit under the theme “The next Level of Energy Management” and present the following GNB energy levels: Battery Technology; Service; Components; Energy Management; and Advanced Energy Solutions. In addition, GNB will present the exclusive worldwide launch of the new GNB
High Power cell on its
innovative CeMAT stand. The world’s first ever diesel- engine/lithium-ion-battery hybrid forklift (pictured below) will take centre stage on the Mitsubishi Forklift Trucks (hall 25, stand G29) CeMAT stand.
With its GRENDIA EX 4.0 to 5.0 tonne hybrid prototype, Mitsubishi scores highly on sustainability and innovation – achieving a 39% fuel efficiency advantage over traditional engines of similar capacity.
As well as an early concept version of the manufacturer’s forthcoming power pallet family, there will a sneak preview of its eagerly anticipated 1.3 to 2.0 tonne, 48 volt, 3 and 4 wheel electric counterbalance series. ●
