Throughout the world, over 30,000 employees produce products for the Detmold-based corporate group. The initial reactions to the collection for the coming Autumn/Winter season 2011/2012, which has been in-store since January, have been pleasingly positive from the trade. Hands – ‘Retailer of the Year’ Award 2011

Largest Increase in Turnover in Company History The Wortmann Group, Detmold, is expecting a turnover of over ¤950

million (GBP 800 million) for this year 2010/11 (31.05.). Last year, the total turnover amounted to ¤832.1 million. The record growth of over ¤120 million is the highest increase in turnover for Wortmann in the company's history. Based on the orders in hand, the group is expecting a consolidated growth of the least 14%. In the first half of this business year (01.06. to 30.11.2010), it was possible to increase the turnover by 11.7% to ¤455.3 million (GBP 386 million) (previous year ¤407.6 million). Just as in previous years, this record result means that Wortmann is exhibiting a considerably stronger growth than the market. With an anticipated 52%, the export quota is slightly above the previous year's total of 51.8%. All export markets are increasing. The strongest growth can be seen in Russia, the Benelux countries and France. Shoes by the Wortmann Group are distributed throughout the world in over 70 countries and over 15,000 shoe shops. One of the strongest growth drivers in the company group continues to be the Tamaris brand. With a marketing budget of tens of millions of Euros, Wortmann is consistently continuing the development of its top brand to become the European number one consumer brand of the shoe industry. After several awards in the recent past, it was possible to achieve a top position at this year’s Best Brands Awards 2011. Out of a total of 12,000 international brands, Tamaris gained an outstanding 3rd position in the "Best Growth Brand" category, behind world brands from the entertainment industry, such as Apple and LG. This meant that a shoe brand was among the top 10 for the first time in this competition. The Tamaris system partnership as a leading partner-operated

concession concept for the shoe trade is continuing to expand successfully. At the moment, there are 454 operative Tamaris concessions (previous year 261), of which 148 are mono-label stores and 306 are shop-in-shops. This corresponds to a growth of about 75%. In addition, there are another 23 stores and 32 shop-in-shops which are already under contract. Approximately, 40% of concessions are currently operated abroad. With the start of deliveries for the Spring/Summer 2011 collection at the

end of last year, Wortmann commissioned its new logistics centre in Detmold. The largest investment project in the company's history, with a volume of approximately ¤35 million, enables stockpiling of warehouse capacities in Detmold of a total of 4.5 million pairs of shoes. With state-of- the-art technology, a one-shift operation can now handle 500,000 pairs per day. During the peak season, this capacity can be considerably increased as part of a two-shift operation. With a two-figure volume in the fashion segment of approx. 29 million pairs and over 38 million pairs in the standard segment, the Wortmann
