Ricochet Rapids Raft ride for Silverwood

Idaho’s Silverwood Theme Park is investing more than $2.3 million this year in three new attractions, headlined by Ricochet Rapids, the first ever Constrictor raft ride from WhiteWater West.

The new attraction will appear at Silverwood’s Boulder Beach waterpark, where it will cascade down a 40ft hill into a 30ft valley. Measuring a total of 737ft in length,

the slide will use 20ft diameter enclosed MegaTube sections. Up to six riders per raft will “ricochet” up and down the sides before continuing down the sharp turns and drops of the mountain. As well as Ricochet Rapids, Silverwood is adding two “dry” rides from S&S

Worldwide, Butterflyer (a swing ride) and Froghopper (kiddie tower ride), as well as a new shooting gallery. Founded in 1988, Silverwood is the largest theme and waterpark in the northwest United States, entertaining over 600,000 annual guests.

Torpedo Rush

The world’s tallest duelling trap door enclosed waterslides will launch this summer at Clementon Park and Splash World, New Jersey.

Rush will feature two slides standing 60ft-tall with simultaneously-launched freefall drops.

After climbing the slide tower, waterpark guests will climb into a launch capsule. As the countdown approaches zero, riders will

witness the floor rip out from under them beginning a six-story plunge through the partially transparent tube and into an explosive splashdown below. Other improvements planned for Clementon in 2011 include new shading structures throughout the waterpark, multiple pool renovations and a new “dry” attraction called Kidzland Castle from EZ Inflatables. Torpedo Rush is the fourth new attraction added to the park in just four seasons under ownership of Adrenaline Family Entertainment.
