AIP Publishing… Fusing Information and Innovation

Scitation’s infrastructure creates a flexible, robust user environment AIP drives innovation through our continuing investment in emerging technologies and R&D. At the heart of Scitation (scitation.aip.org) is an engineered-for-XML infrastructure, which allows us to infuse our hosted journals with a broad range of features, helping to reduce discovery time and better facilitate the way scientists conduct research. All of this is packaged in an information architecture that presents targeted content in simple, elegant visual design.

Scitation features include:

UniPHY…AIP’s professional networking platform for physical scientists UniPHY (uniphy.org) is pre-populated with profiles of more than 300,000 individual researchers based on their publication history. Using UniPHY’s intelligently designed interface, with its "six-degrees"-style mapping, scientists will discover the research each of their colleagues has conducted and follow a web of connections showing each co-author with whom these colleagues have worked. Going one step further, UniPHY reveals with whom each of these co-authors has collaborated as well.
