Springer acquires 12 Hindawi journals Springer has extended its open- access portfolio through the purchase of 12 journals from Hindawi Publishing Corporation in an asset deal. The journals include seven titles published in cooperation with the European Association for Signal Processing, four mathematics journals and one in medicine. Hindawi will continue to publish approximately 200 other open- access journals.

SAGE takes on literacy research journal
SAGE has begun a partnership with the Literacy Research Association to publish its offi cial journal Journal of Literacy Research (JLR). Previously published as the Journal of Reading Behavior, the quarterly title was launched in 1969. Joining the
SAGE journal family means that the journal is now available through SAGE Journals Online and authors can now submit articles for review through SAGE Track.

Journal of Social History joins Oxford University Press The Journal of Social History: Societies & Cultures will join Oxford University Press (OUP) from its September 2011 issue. The Journal of Social History will expand and strengthen the Oxford Journals list in history. It should have increased international exposure as it is featured at conferences and meetings in history and other related fi elds and is included in OUP’s library consortia agreements throughout the world, says OUP.
