2002Freestyle Pre-Worlds


The 2002 Pre-world Freestyle Championships were held on the Mur River in Graz, Austria from May 28th to June 1st. The Mur River’s headwaters fall from Hohe Tauern National Park in Central Austria and pass through Graz on their way to Northern Slovenia. The beautiful city of Graz is located in the southern corner of the country and stands as the capital of the province of Styria. Graz has a long, detailed history in warfare, but is perhaps better known as the hometown of Arnold Schwarzenegger; and like any action hero worth his salt, Arnold has had a play spot named in his honour.
