The venue at Bourg Ste.Maurice featured

big, fast water and a tough course that kept many excellent athletes, including several Olympic gold medalists, out of the finals. Canada’s Saskia Van Mourik, Sarah Boudens and Mike Holroyd made it to semi-finals. Nathan Davis and Pierre Levesque qualified with personal bests.Holroyd,Ford’s training partner, went on to win 20th place at the World Cup Final in Brazil, rounding off the year as perhaps the most successful ever for the team.
