better do it in their season. If I’m having friends over for dinner, I had better have the shopping done and preparations ready before they arrive! Tese are factors that play the greatest role in organizing my time. Yet, I do create schedules for myself too.

I work from home and how I manage each day depends on my spouse’s schedule, on the season, on those external factors AND on what I desire or what I’m guided to accomplish.

So, with art to create, herbs to honor, classes to facilitate, inventory to manage, marketing to do, books to keep … gardening, harvesting, preserving, cooking, cleaning, bills, friends and family … well, you get the idea … it’s vital that I honor these things in ways that also honor me. Again – we’re connected!

I do my best to sit once a month with my “Master List” to plan things out and schedule tasks into my calendar. I do something similar each year, each quarter and most every week too. Some might call this activity tedious or mundane, but I call it magical. For truly, it enables me to accomplish so much – and gracefully too! It helps me to make sure that I allow myself “downtime” too, and to be candid, I actually schedule time for meditation, dreaming, self-care, reading, time with loved ones, and other activities that we tend to either discount or take for granted. It’s not always easy to accomplish what I want, but the process is simple – and supportive – and flexible.

Let me back up a moment … For 15 years of my life I worked in the corporate world and it was there that I witnessed the value of “time management” and “project planning” and so – to make my life easier in that realm - I nurtured the abilities to do these things. Tese are skills that anyone can learn and do. Of this I am certain. Tey are part of my daily alchemy!
