HBC HBC Vehicle Services appoint
Andy Short as business development manager.
His sixteen year career to date in the insurance and vehicle industries has spanned a variety of national business development roles in vehicle salvage, remarketing, support, leasing and finance. Most recently he was with Copart as national sales development manager.
Fusion Fusion, part of the BGL Group,
appoint a new site manager. Emma Rodulson-Ellis will head the Bretton-based contact centre operation which handles more than 1.4m customer enquiries each year for insurance brands including Budget, ibuyeco and Post Office.
She has been with the BGL Group for almost two years, working with the company’s affinity business, Junction, as a relationship manager for its HSBC and Marks & Spencer accounts.
QBE has made a series of appointments to its senior management team for Europe. David Winkett, currently chief financial officer, extends his current role to become chief financial and operating officer. In addition to managing the finance division, he will also oversee the IT and Operations divisions. Phil Dodridge’s role as chief risk officer will broaden to include responsibility for claims and underwriting review and reinsurance.
Matthew Gouldstone,
managing director of change and technology, has been promoted to chief information officer, David Spruce, QBE’s current finance director, to operations director and Rob Stone, head of corporate reporting, to European operations financial controller. David Cooney, previously operations director, is appointed to the newly-created role of director of operations for property, casualty and motor.
Antares John Potter is promoted to the
position of Marine Hull, Energy & Liability Account Manager. He has eight years of industry experience and joined the company in 2008 as deputy hull, energy & liability underwriter. He began his insurance career in 2002 with Marsh in its Credit and Political Risks Department, before moving to the Cargo team. He then joined Axis Insurance in 2003.

PwC
PwC appoint Mark Stephen as head of the firm’s UK insurance business succeeding Andrew Kail. He has been with the firm for over 20 years, during which time he has specialised in the insurance industry. He previously led PwC’s risk and regulation business, and PwC’s insurance consulting business.
Ecclesiastical has added to its London Regional Centre underwriting team with the appointment of two new underwriters and a new regional sales manager. Laura Pennick joins as underwriter and was previously with Allianz’s London market property owners team and before this was a broking technician on the fine art and high net worth team of Lloyd’s broker CBC UK. Tina Atkins is also appointed as underwriter and previously worked for Ecclesiastical at its Cambridge office, then moved to become underwriting manager south at UK General (formerly Primary General). With over 25 years’ experience in insurance, she has also held positions with Sun Alliance, General Accident, Norwich Union and AXA. Hannah Taylor who’s been with the company for more than 10 years, has been appointed into the role of national broker and regional sales manager.
