n March 5 and 6, Berkeley-based The Body Positive will teach an experiential two-day workshop, Be Body Positive, at the College of Marin, in Kentfield. Open to men and women 17 and older, the workshop will explore and encour- age a positive relationship with food and one’s body, focusing on kindness, vitality, beauty and self-love.

Windbell Wellness Center Offers Free Yoga Classes

eginning March 4, Windbell Wellness Center in Pleasant Hill will offer a free Sugi Yoga class on the first Friday of each month from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m. The class is open to all levels and is ideal for beginners.
Based on traditional yoga asanas, combined with gentle movement and exploration of postures, Sugi Yoga melds Feldenkrais movements with the physical and mental benefits of traditional Hatha yoga. Opened in December
2010, Windbell Wellness Center offers weekly and private yoga classes, as well as A Course in Miracles. The center will soon offer SugiTouch, specialty work- shops, Reiki gatherings, flower essences consulting and Qigong.

Helping participants develop intuitive self-awareness and encouraging them to trust their innate body wisdom, the workshop will assist individuals to gain confidence to make life-affirming choices; build a supportive, body-posi- tive community; and learn how to detect and help others with eating disorders and body image problems.
Founded in 1996 by Connie Sobczak and Elizabeth Scott, The Body Positive is a nonprofit organization that works with adults and youth to sup- port positive body attitudes and self-care behaviors. It has trained hundreds of high school peer leaders, assisted more than 1,000 schools and communi- ties to create their own body image programs and distributed BodyTalk video series worldwide that have been viewed by more than a million youths. The Body Positive has also worked with hundreds of college women to enhance their body image, and educated thousands of parents about how to raise chil- dren with healthy body images and positive relationships to food and exer- cise.

Film Festival Benefits Breast Cancer Fund
Businesswomen of California (PBWC) and Berkeley-based Clif Bar, makers of Luna, a nutrition bar for women, will team up to present LUNAFEST, an eve- ning dedicated to building a community of women through stories in film. Held at the Clif Bar Auditorium in Emeryville, the event kicks off with a reception at 6 p.m., followed by a 6:45 p.m. show time. LUNAFEST, a travelling film festival by, for and about women, will donate
