How to Order, Returns Procedure and Legal Guidelines
How to Order Payment Cards
Wickes accepts all the following cards: Orders
When you place an order through the catalogue, we will send an e-mail to confi rm that we have received the order. All orders are subject to these terms of sale. Wickes cannot accept an order until payment is received in full for all products and any related delivery and insurance charges. Orders placed through the catalogue represent an offer to purchase a product. It is accepted for each product when we send you an e-mail to confi rm that the order has been received. We reserve the right to reject any order for any reason. All orders are subject to stock availability. If we are unable to supply any products that you have ordered we will inform you as soon as possible. In the event that an out-of-stock product is part of an order and we cannot contact you, we will send what products we have in stock, refunding the purchase price of any unavailable product where payment has already been made.
As a responsible retailer, we are aware that minors can incorrectly use some DIY products. We do not knowingly sell to children. Orders may only be placed by persons aged 18 or over.
Price and Payment
The price payable for the goods you order is as set out in our catalogue provided it is a current catalogue, plus any charges for delivery and insurance as set out in the order form. We reserve the right to change the price of commodity goods, such as copper, due to market conditions but we will confi rm the prevailing price with you before accepting your order. We are not obliged to accept your order for such goods and may decline it or limit the order quantity.
All prices are inclusive of VAT where appropriate. The Wickes VAT number is 408 5567 37.
Our catalogue contains a large number of products, and it is always possible that, despite our best efforts, some of the products listed may be incorrectly priced. We will normally verify prices as part of our dispatch procedures so that, where a product’s correct price is less than our stated price, we will charge the lower amount when dispatching the product to you. If a product’s correct price is higher than the price stated in our catalogue, we will at our discretion either contact you for instructions before dispatching the product, or reject your order and notify you of such rejection. We are under no obligation to provide the product to you at the incorrect (lower) price, even after we have confi rmed your order.
Guarantee
We provide guarantees on many of our products. These can be identifi ed by the guarantee logo on the products as they appear in this catalogue. The guarantee does not affect your statutory rights.
Returns Procedure Products No Longer Required
In the event that you wish to return a Wickes product that is no longer required, we will provide you with a refund, excluding any delivery charges (unless you cancel the order within 7 days following the date of delivery, in which case we will also refund the delivery charges), provided we are advised of the proposed return within 30 days of the product being delivered to you. You can return any products bought from the Wickes catalogue to your nearest store, where you will receive your refund (excluding delivery charges unless you cancel the order within 7 days following the date of delivery, in which case we will also refund the delivery charges). Alternatively, send an e-mail to
weborders@wickes.co.uk or telephone 0845 274 1000 and we will arrange for the collection of the product by our nominated carrier. There will be a minimum charge of £22 charged for this service, which may increase signifi cantly dependent on customer location and product type. Your refund will be processed within 30 days. Special order products may be returned following the same guidelines as standard, next-day delivery items, with the same restrictions on circumstance, place, timeframe and cost. Made to measure products may NOT be returned unless they are deemed to be faulty or have been damaged in transit. Refunds are not available on ‘free with purchase’ items, unless all other products are returned. All refunds will be made to the account used to purchase the product. This does not affect your statutory rights.
Faulty/Damaged Products
In the unlikely event that a delivered product (including special order and made-to-measure items) is faulty or damaged, we will exchange the product or provide you with a full refund. Notifi cation of any defect must be made within 30 days of the product being delivered to you. We reserve the right to inspect all returned products prior to agreeing to any part-refund, full refund or product exchange. Faulty or damaged products can be returned to your local Wickes store, with proof of purchase, for a full refund (including delivery charge). Alternatively, collection of the product can be arranged through our nominated carrier, where the cost of the return will be at our expense. We require the return of the products within 30 days of the refund request being made.

Legal Guidelines Terms of Sale
These terms govern the sale of products in this catalogue by Wickes Building Supplies Limited (Company No. 1840419), registered offi ce: Lodge Way House, Lodge Way, Harlestone Road, Northampton, NN5 7UG. If you are a consumer (as defi ned by the Consumer Transactions (Restrictions on Statements) Order 1976) we recognise that you may have additional rights under statute and confi rm your statutory rights are not affected by these terms.
Liability
Save for the remedies set out in our Returns section (above) and to the extent permitted by law, we and any of our group companies and the offi cers, directors, employees, shareholders or agents of any of them, exclude all liability and responsibility from any amount or kind of loss or damage arising out of or in connection with your use of this catalogue.
This does not include or limit in any way our liability: a) for death or personal injury caused by our negligence; b) for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or c) for any matter for which it would be illegal for us to exclude or attempt to exclude our liability.
In the event that we are held responsible for any loss or damage, our aggregate liability shall in any event be limited to a sum equal to the amount paid by you in respect of the product. We accept no liability for any loss of income or revenue, loss of business, loss of profi t or contracts, loss of anticipated savings, loss of data, waste of management or offi ce time, or for any indirect or consequential loss or damage of any kind whatsoever arising and whether caused by tort (including negligence), breach of contract or otherwise, even if foreseeable. We will not be liable to you where we are unable to perform our obligations due to matters outside our control. Goods are intended for use in the UK and we make no warranties that the goods are suitable for use outside the UK, or comply with any laws, regulations or standards of any jurisdiction outside the UK.
