Southland Industries names new company president and future CEO


IRVINE, CAILF. — Southland Industries has named Ted Lynch, an 18-year veteran of the firm, to serve as the new president of the design – build – maintain mechanical engineering company, effective immediately. Within the next two years, Lynch will take over the reins as chief executive officer (CEO) of Southland.


Lynch assumes the role of


president from current President and CEO Andy Fimiano, who has been Southland’s President and CEO since 2001. Fimiano said the interim two-year period is by design, to provide for a seamless leadership transition that allows him and Lynch to work closely together to move the company forward.


Gerber appoints new territory manager 14


WOODRIDGE, ILL. — Gerber Plumbing Fixtures LLC has announced the addition of Jeff Jackson to the company’s expanding sales team. Jackson will serve as the territory manager for new construction for the greater metro Atlanta area and the southeast. Jackson will rport directly to Brian Dougherty, Gerber’s national sales manager of new construction. In addition to managing the Atlanta area, Jackson will also represent the southeast region from Texas to the Carolinas.


Munters AB announces retirement


CHICAGO— Munters AB has announced the retirement of Mike McDonald effective 1 April, 2011. Over the past 15 years Mike has held various management positions in Munters, most recently as group vice president and president of the Dehumidification Division.


WAYNE names VP of sales


HARRISON, OHIO — Charles Murphy has been promoted to WAYNE Water System’s vice president of sales, overseeing the sales staffs for WAYNE Pumps retail pump lines and the Blue Angel professional product lines. An employee of WAYNE Water Systems since 2004, Charles most recently served as director of business development, where he was instrumental in the company’s market share gains and strategic growth development. In his new role as VP of sales, Charles will be responsible for leading the sales teams in finding new opportunities for increased market share and in achieving revenue growth in the retail and plumbing wholesale channels.
