Rosker expects big things of Fjällräven O
utdoor equipment distributor Rosker said it is expecting to see substantial growth over the next two years thanks to Swedish brand Fjällräven.
Rosker took responsibility for distributing Fjällräven products in the UK at the start of 2010, and recently appointed Josef Woodward (pictured) as area sales manager for Fjällräven products in London, East England, South-east England, north Midlands, West Yorkshire and North Wales.
Rosker managing director Ralph White said Fjällräven helped grow its business by a fifth throughout 2010, as well as seeing Rosker take on additional staff, which has seen its workforce grow from nine to 14 in little over a year. White said: “Fjällräven helped grow our business by 20 per cent, but it’s within the next two years that we’re really expecting to see very significant growth and is the reason why we’re investing so heavily in marketing and PR activities. “Thanks to Fjällräven, we are now entering the hunting and shooting markets where the brand has excellent potential with a whole new customer base for Rosker, and this also gives us additional opportunities for existing brands of ours such as Hanwag footwear.
“The recent weather was good news for our customers and we sold out of many Fjällräven items of winter clothing, which we’re factoring

Mears will host two sessions on the evening of the penultimate day of the festival, alongside climber Sir Chris Bonington.
The Keswick Mountain Festival runs on May 18-22 and speakers include polar traveler Geoff Somers, adventure film maker Alastair Lee, cyclist Mark Beaumont, and climbers Neil Gresham and Tim Emmett.
The Kendal-based festival also includes a number of climbing, hiking and walking activities, as well as nature, family and other pastimes.
Lucy Bennett, director of Keswick Mountain Festival, said: “Every year, we receive feedback from visitors that they get a huge amount of enjoyment out of seeing and hearing about the adventures of the high profile personalities who we bring to the Keswick Mountain Festival. “So, every year, we have to try and put together an even better programme of speakers than before. Looking at our line up for 2011, I think we’ve comfortably achieved that with some fantastic names, offering a real variety of presentations that will light up the festival.”

Accapi said Dynamic baselayers feature seamless construction of Tactel fibres with anatomic muscle retaining bands that provide muscles with support. Dynamic also provides excellent wicking properties and high levels of comfort, Accapi said. As for Equilibrium, Accapi said the range is non-allergenic and improves postural stability to improve both balance and performance. Accapi said it has also hired a new team of sales agents, who together with existing agents, ‘will be appointed to manage these brands in specialist markets’.
Accapi already supplies baselayers to the Italian market, with the UK and Ireland set to receive them from AW11 onwards. The three Wellington boots are Superlite, Grub’s and Muddies. Accapi said Superlite are ‘the lightest most comfortable performance Wellington boots in the world’, and feature Air- Tunnel and Air-Liner technologies. Grub’s are a range of temperature regulating Wellington boots made from a complete Chloroprene booty construction, providing warmth and comfort in a range of temperature conditions from -40 degrees C to 30 degrees C. Accapi said both Superlite and Grub’s have had limited distribution in the UK previously, but in their new position within the Accapi Group, the brands will receive additional focus and energy. The new brands will also benefit greatly from CEO Andrew Geere's 10-year experience in the Wellington boot market, the company said. Muddies are a range of children's Wellington boots that use Chloroprene foam technology to provide comfort, warmth, durability and dryness.
