MBT launches IceLock outsole for FW11

W
ith the launch of its FW11 collection, MBT offers unrivalled comfort for its wearers in the
physiological footwear category. The new collection acknowledges the outdoor trend for autumn by providing water-proof and water-resistant styles throughout. MBT is a brand from the Masai GB Ltd stable, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Masai Group International Ltd, which is now available in over 55 countries around the world. MBT footwear is certified Class 1 Medical Equipment in the EU and was introduced into the UK market in 1996. The ‘hero’ product for the season is the Chakula GTX, an outdoor-inspired lace-up in which functionality is key. The shoe is created from a material mix of fine nubuck leathers and honeycomb-structured woven fabric to provide a subtle yet sophisticated exterior, encapsulating the high-performance equipment just below the surface.
The Chakula features MBT-patented technology on an all purpose outsole. This non- marking outsole features a HyperGrip rubber compound that is perfect for extended periods of walking and will provide excellent grip even in the harshest of conditions. Engineered using triangular-shaped inserts in a mix of IceLock glass fibre and rubber componentry, the shoe provides optimum traction on all surfaces.
The shoe features MBT’s fusion injected Dual Board multi-function lasting board construction, with a lightweight athletic midsole and sculpted waist. The key Masai Sensor is water-proof for added protection and to ensure full functionality is maintained. Waterproof upper and laces offer added protection against the elements. Gore-Tex Extended Comfort Footwear keeps feet dry and comfortably cool, so it is deal for moderate and warmer conditions and during higher activity levels. provide soft padded comfort and further breathability.
The removable virgin foam sockliner for underfoot comfort uses MBT’s DRY&COOL technology and anti-microbial treatment for the freshest foot conditions.
An earthy colour palette creates an element of quiet confidence to highlight the natural outdoor environment that Chakula calls home.
Available in men’s and women’s versions, this is a highly functional outdoor-inspired style boot that has a home both in the city and the countryside.
In true testimony to its functional heritage, even the logo has been forged from welded silicone rubber.
It is available in sizes EUR34 to EUR43, and has an RRP of £199.99.
