So, the German Chancellor Merkel has become decisive all of a sudden. All looks rosy in the garden of Europe and Germany though the global economic situation is quite ambivalent: while some nations seem well off, other states fail to get up on their feet. Ireland is “surprisingly” on the edge and needs money. It seems that once in a while one nation after another wakes up and finds out: ‚Oh, I am bankrupt.‘

German Chancellor Merkel‘s politics is perceived more positive from abroad – esp. in U.S. – than in her own party and overall Germany. Why are we investing enormous financial means and resources in a European idea over decades when in crisis we follow only national interests, esp. Franco-German interests, while a joint European political strategy could actually save Europe‘s strategic survival. Following conservative views it seemed so far that in the long run the politics of Chancellor Merkel is contra-productive for Germany and also for Europe as a whole regar- ding international competiveness. Even if the Green Party of Germany and green thinking here in Europe grows in power over the next year, it
