n 1994, Christian Picard created AYC International Yacht Brokers, France’s premier yacht brokerage. He had already sent 10 years selling new boats at Jeanneau, and he used this experience successfully in


brokerage. A trendsetter in France, Picard was the first to use the internet to publish his listings, a practice he started with www.ayc.fr and through international sites in 1996 when the world wide web was only about a year old. AYC specialises in the sale of cruising and pleasure boats


in excess of 100.000 euros, and remains one of the French market leaders. The company is responsive to the needs and requirements of its potential buyers, and has customers in France, around the Atlantic coast and internationally. Always a man of the sea, In 2007/8, Christian took


his family on an extended voyage across the Atlantic on a Kronos 45 catamaran. This was an experience that not only enriched their lives but enabled Christian to better understand the needs of his clients.
