This 600-acre park consists of five lakes and numerous pine flatwoods and hardwood hammocks. Activities include fishing, picnicking, BMX track, radio-controlled car track and archery range. It is the site of the Bakas Equestrian Center for handicapped riders.

Activities center around the nature center and boardwalk leading to an observation tower on the Hillsborough River. Bicycle and exercise trails meander through the 240-acre park.

Enjoy fishing or sightseeing on the longest fishing pier in the world! View magnificent sunrises and beautiful sunsets from the pier, which is open 24 hours a day every day of the year. Fishing supplies, snacks, drinks and bait are all available on both the north and south piers.

Located near the mouth of Trout Creek, this 42-acre site on the Hillsborough River is popular for fishing, canoeing and group picnics. It is a pleasant place to get away for a mid-day break, or to take small children for a mini-adventure.

This 2,144-acre park and preserve features an environmental study center. Popular activities include picnicking and hiking on trails and boardwalks with views of Tampa Bay and its habitats.


UPPER TAMPA BAY TRAIL – NW

First phase of this paved trail is 2.5 miles. Phases two and three should be completed in five years. Current trailhead located Wilsky Rd., just north of Linebaugh Ave.

This popular off-road system is located just minutes from the University of South Florida in northeast Tampa. The main loop is 20 miles of single track, connecting Flatwoods, Trout Creek and Morris Bridge parks.

An urban park and museum in the heart of Tampa’s National Historic Landmark District. The park consists of a main exhibit space housed in a 1923-era bakery building, a lush Mediterranean style garden and a recreated cigar worker’s home (casita).
