Products Subscription costs frozen at SPIE
SPIE is freezing its subscription pricing at 2010 levels for 2011. This move follows the society publisher’s decision last year to drop its prices by 10 per cent from 2009 levels to help research libraries with the economic challenges they are facing. According to SPIE CEO Eugene Arthurs, SPIE is able to maintain the price rollback
programme through 2011 while maintaining services, features, and content, through careful stewardship and with a stable subscription base.
The 2011 pricing freeze applies to current and new subscriptions to the full SPIE Digital Library as well as topical segment subscriptions.
