York Art Gallery’s nationally acclaimed permanent collection represents over 600 years of British and European art. The collection ranges from 14th century Italian panels and 17th century Dutch masterpieces to Victorian narrative paintings and 20th century works by LS Lowry and David Hockney. Highlights from the gallery’s outstanding collection of 20th century ceramics are also on display.


With an exciting programme of temporary exhibitions and events, York Art Gallery appeals to all ages.
