Owners Luis Corona and Michael Barron show off their talents and resources in their new full-service interior design studio and showroom now open at 145 W. Washington St.
Native to San Diego, Corona moved to Phoenix, Arizona, in 1982 to pursue his career working for a well-known design studio in Scottsdale. He found inspiration for his craft in the neighborhood of Encanto, where he opened his first studio. He then met Barron, who is now his life and business partner. Together the dynamic couple focuses on creating an interesting and exciting shopping experience with a mix of every style for every budget. Casa Del Encanto Interiors offers everything from accessories, lighting, artwork, furniture and design services— everything needed to help San Diegans make their house a home.

refinishing and restoring furniture for 20 years now. Gledhill began his career as a carpenter working on office lobbies, professional offices, custom yachts and cruise ships. He opened his own shop in 1996 and has worked on over 3,500 pieces. Some of the furniture he has refurbished dates back to the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries and includes everything from mantles, to armoires, to dining sets to library steps and commodes. Gledhill’s Vintage Furniture has developed a clientele locally and throughout California’s southern coast. The shop offers a plethora of services not only including refinishing and restoration, but also consignment furniture and furnishings, interior design and instructional refinishing classes. Students are encouraged to bring their own pieces to each class to work on. All classes are on a first-come first-serve basis. Gledhill’s is also inviting the community to its free winter lecture series. On Thursday, Nov. 11th from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., lecture attendees will learn the history of pottery at the Mata Ortiz Pottery lecture. Pottery will also be on display
and for sale. On Thursday, Dec. 10th at the same time, Raz-Majette Interior Designers will give tips on getting custom style by using ready-made draperies, hardware and table lamps. To learn more about
