It’s All About Community—and Fun

The Center is a lively place with an incredible diversity of members and programming. It offers more than 100 different programs, both on and off site, in everything from fitness to lifelong learning to travel to creative expression to volunteering. The Center is open to anyone age 50 and better; thousands of guests of every age also enjoy programs and events here every year.

5 Why It Matters, Especially Now

The senior population is exploding as Americans live longer and the huge baby boomer generation ages. The primary issue facing seniors is a need to remain independent; the Center addresses this need—and all aspects of senior wellness—through programs that involve intellectual, physical, and social dimensions. Such integrated programming fills a need in our community that is immediate and growing, and is a large part of the value our Senior Center provides.

With a cutting-edge philosophy and scores of different programs in fitness and wellness, lifelong learning, travel, volunteering, and the arts, the award-winning Center has become a model for organizations nationwide. We have thrived as an independent nonprofit for more than 50 years—with no government funding—meeting our mission of involving, enriching, and empowering seniors in our community thanks to the generosity of area individuals, organizations, and businesses.

5 We’re Here for Everyone

Scholarships are always available to anyone who expresses a need for assistance with membership dues, program fees, and select travel opportunities.
